Is Yoli a SCAM? Or a Great Business Opportunity? Here’s What You Need to Know!

I’d like to assume that the main reason you are here is that someone introduced you to Yoli and the seemingly good business opportunity it has for you. And now you wanted to make sure if venturing into it is worth your while, right?

Making some research about a seemingly good business opportunity first will help keep scam companies at bay. There is a manifold of online money making opportunities, but not every one of them is legitimate and reliable.

This is the reason why doing some research first is paramount not only to your success but also to your safety and security.

Don’t dive in right away on every online business opportunity you will come across with. I am certain that most of them could just be trying to scam you and don’t have your best financial interest at heart.

My review and analysis of the Yoli opportunity are not biased and impartial. Simply because I am not associated with this MLM program or any other networking company for that matter.

Thus, rest assured that I am not inclined to take sides or protect an interest, and with that, I can honestly say that I am delivering nothing but a truthful and honest to goodness review of Yoli’s business structure.

If you are seriously looking for ways to develop your online passive income, I suggest you consider affiliate marketing instead. I myself tried a manifold of online opportunities before, but this is the only platform that works so far.

Is Yoli a scam?

Summary:  We don't qualify Yoli and team as a scam company. First, they have been in business many years already. They are actually like any other typical company involved in the health and wellness niche and are making use of the network marketing as their choice of business model.  Therefore, they put so much emphasis on recruiting other people to the business, which many people are not particularly fond of doing. This is also among the many reasons why people are failing in this venture or business.

What Is Yoli About?

Yoli is a typical multi-level marketing (MLM) company. They are involved in the health and wellness sphere, selling products that are related to health and wellness such as nutritional supplements, shakes, and many others.

In the Aztec language, the term “Yoli” means “to live”. This company adapted this concept and made it like its own in their mission-vision statement, that is to “transform lives”. What a herculean goal, right?

For someone who has been involved with quite a good number of networking companies before and having reviewed a handful also, I am in the right position to say that this is not an uncommon mission statement.

The company is making a high claim that your life will be transformed, physically, emotionally, and most importantly, financially if you will join their team.

How are they going to affect these changes in your life? They will by virtue of the following:

  • Physical changes in the body can be observed after using their products that are specially formulated to help you lose weight, make you fit and feel better overall.
  • Embrace emotional change via comprehensive support system from their community of members. I also know that based on my own personal experience, those people around us can actually give us an emotionally empowering experience.
  • They will make you believe that financial change is a big possibility if you will join their business opportunity, most especially by leveraging their compensation plan. What they have for you is a side-job, to others, it could be their source of full income that when properly handled can even replace the current job you have.

But we should always keep reminding ourselves that these are just optimal scenarios they want to project when using Yoll. In reality, things may present itself entirely different.

The Yoli Product Line

Yoli is taking pride in the fact that it is among those MLM companies that have a wide range of product offerings.

What is Yoli for?

In order to help their customers find the products that cater to their specific needs, they came up with 3 product groups:

Better Body System

They consider this line as their flagship program. It is designed to address the 5 different aspects of human health, namely the pH balance, healthy metabolism, weight management, structural support, and total nutrition.

Transformation Kits

This package is dubbed as the company’s revolutionary product line because it will help facilitate your body to lose weight faster, energize it, and improve your general health.

Lifestyle Kits

The lifestyle kits are more centered on an individual’s specific needs. This includes weight energy kit, management kits, and alkalinity kit.

If you have a specific health concern which none of the above-mentioned product groups are addressing, you have the liberty to come up with your own product combinations.

This company is always pointing out that they are not mainly focused on giving diet programs, but wanted to inspire people to form a new and better lifestyle for themselves.

I reckon that there is another MLM company in the same niche that works pretty much the same way as they, Purium.

How to Get Started with Yoli?

We qualify Yoli team as a typical networking company. Hence, much like the others, they also offer two distinct ways to earn from their system.

You can choose to market and sell their products. With each successful sale that you make you earn commissions.

Invite other people to join the business opportunity and agree to become a member of your downline network. This entitles you to receive various bonuses and commissions with whatever sales or milestones that your when your downline team will have.

If you have some prior experience in a typical MLM company, you will agree with when I say that the bulk of money in this type of business model is in recruiting other people to the opportunity.

The bigger downline team you have under your name, the bigger earnings you’re entitling yourself with.

If you have some aversion to recruiting, which I personally dislike, I suggest that you consider affiliate marketing instead. I’ll help you understand why this is a far better option than any MLM opportunities combined.

The only program that I ranked for 10/10.

Before we dive into the Yoli compensation plan, let us take a look first on how to join this company.

Joining this networking firm is not for free, there a number of fees to mind about:

You need to cough out $39.95 as your one-time enrollment fee. However, please note that this enrollment package does not come with any product item. It is essential that you have some of the items at hand which you can use for yourself or for product demo purpose when you have a prospective client.

After the lapse of 1 full year, you will need to shell out $20 as your annual renewal fee
You also need to set aside $9.95 per month as costs for your marketing website and for you to avail virtual team office platform.

Yes, I agree that these costs are not as hefty as what other networking firms have. However, please know that they are not the only costs that you will mind about when you become a full-fledged Yoli product distributor.

Typical MLM company that they are, they also implement a monthly minimum purchase on every distributorship account. Their autoship program to keep your distributorship account remain as active is valued at $70 - $80.

This is on top of the +$840 accumulated fees per year.

So, if you want to remain an active Yoli product distributor, you spare $1000 off your budget every year for this purpose alone.

Needless to say, this is an effective, effortless, and seamless way for this company to obtain their overall revenue -- they are necessitating their network members to purchase their products.

Yoli product distributors are on the losing end with their +$1,000 annual fees, why? It is because it does not entitle them to any kind of commissions yet.

Surprisingly, paying this +$1,000/year won’t qualify you to earn any commissions yet.
And on top of them all, product distributors are also necessitated to have a minimum of 2 active downline members, which means to say they are having a monthly $70-$80 autoship.

This goes to show that the moment you become a full-fledged member of this MLM group, you need to start to learn how to recruit other people to the business right away.

For me, I consider this is one of those red flags to watch out for in any network marketing company!

Yoli Compensation Plan

Compared to other networking firms, Yoli team is unique in such a way that they are making use of “hybrid compensation plan”. This is the result of them melding together the binary and unilevel compensation plans.

Never in my span of experience and exposure in the MLM sphere that I have at least once encountered such a kind of hybrid compensation plan.

It is never a common practice among networking companies to make use of both the unilevel and binary compensation plans together. Normally, they will settle to just one of the two, but they would scarcely have both.

Yoli is taking pride with the variety of ways their independent distributors can possibly earn commissions, exciting rewards, and bonuses from their system. They have to offer the following rewards mechanism for their members:

  • Starting bonuses.
  • Commissions from successful sales.
  • Car rewards that entitle you to $600 each month for your dream car.
  • Reward trip system to an exotic tourist spot of your choice
  • Cash bonuses for members who successfully recruiting the first members to your downline.
  • And more...

Please try to observe also that the vast majority of MLM companies we have around are more often than not offering us these kinds of attractive compensation plans. Sad to know that only a very small percentage of these members will become highly successful and will thus enjoy for themselves the said rewards.

While the remaining large group will have to contend with what they have. They could either struggle while remaining at the bottom part of the triangle, worse they would just let things take its course and eventually finding themselves failing in their business.

Most MLMs have all these attractive compensation plans but only an extremely small group of people will eventually make it to the top and get to enjoy the said rewards at stake for them while most people below them will either struggle at the bottom or even fail out from the is business.

The Ugly Truths About Yoli Revealed

Exorbitant Price Label for their Product Offerings

Similar to how the other networking companies would label their product offerings, Yoli product lines don’t come cheap.

A bottle of a supplement may cost around $20-40 a bottle. We know for a fact that we can easily find healthful shake concoctions and supplements at our local health food shops, for lesser amounts.

Product Ingredients are Not Indicated on the Label

Would you consume any product, health-promoting or otherwise, that deliberately is not indicating what they contain or from what ingredients are? Any discriminating consumer would agree with me in saying that this is another red flag to watch out for.

Another point serious concern here is that you will not find in their packaging any mention of clinical studies that will help support their bold claim of supposed health benefits.

Therefore, the poor consumer has no other choice but to rely on the so-called testimonials of the people whom the company is compensating to sell their products to them - their network of independent distributors.

Too Much Emphasis on Recruiting

They sometimes put so much emphasis on recruiting other people to the business that makes other people assume that they are a pyramid scheme company.

As declared earlier in this review, I qualify the Yoli team as a typical networking company. They are in the sense that the core of earning opportunities here lies in how good you are at recruiting people to the business.

The more interested people you get to sign up for the business, the more chances you have to earn so much more than not having anyone aboard the platform.

Lack of Transparency to Members

Did you know that networking companies are required by the law to provide public access to their Income Disclosure Statement? With this important document, we can glean the income potential that each member of their network can have in their platform.

In the case of this multi-level marketing company, Yoli team is not providing us access to this important document. They are deliberately denying us this important information and in the process keeps us from making an informed decision whether joining them in the business is for our good or not.

What I Do Like About Yoli?

Compensation Plan is Potentially Profitable

One way that Yoli team is attracting members to join their network is the variety of ways they can earn from the system.

No matter if what you are aiming for is to have a long term, stable income, to have quick cash, to travel in style or to earn that posh car incentive, the Yoli system had those in place for their members.

For the sake of being fair to them, Yoli team is such a genius in melding together the unilevel and the binary system of compensation.

However, needless to say, the same problem that is commonly found in networking companies remain the same…

The vast majority of people joining this opportunity don’t find good success in such kind of business.

Relatively Cheaper Startup Costs

Compared to many other networking companies, in the same niche or otherwise, start costs in Yoli group is pretty affordable.

They only require you to pay their one-time enrollment fee of $39.95, annual renewal fee valued at $20 and monthly website fee at $9.95. And finally, they also implement an autoship program which is $70-$80 worth of Yoli goods, monthly.

In other multilevel marketing companies like Nerium and Lifevantage, you are necessitated to pay a loftier amount. You may need to cough out as high as a thousand dollar in fees just to enroll yourself to their program and eventually become a full-fledged member of the group.

Is Yoli a SCAM?

I refuse to qualify Yoli as a scam, not even as a pyramid scheme. They are a legitimate company and have been in the business since 2009.

I perfectly understand though why multi-level marketing companies like this are often engulfed in controversy. In the span of years that I got myself involved in the MLM sphere, I have come to see the reason why network marketing stirs up so much controversy in the psyche of many.

People hate multi-level marketing firms for a number of reasons. I summed them up as follows:

  • A set of highly exaggerated and unrealistic expectations, like “transforming your life to what is most ideal”. Or help you reach your financial success without exerting so much effort”.
  • Exorbitant price tags for product/service offerings.
  • Heavily centered on recruiting other people to the business, so much so that they come to the point that they resemble a pyramid scheme company. (Hence, the left and right legal complaints lodged against them).

For most people, the reason why they can’t secure success in network marketing is simply because they don’t know how to leverage the power of the Internet in marketing the system itself and their business.

This is the reason why I am encouraging those most interested in developing an online passive income for themselves to consider affiliate marketing instead, which brings me to the most exciting part of this review, my best recommendation to earn money from the Internet.

So, what is Yoli for? It is a typical MLM company, whose best interest at heart is not your financial interest but those of the brains behind the organization.

How I Make Money Online?

When you fully understand how the MLM business model really works, you will agree with me in saying that this particular business structure is not the best vehicle to use to reach your goal of financial wellness.

Multilevel marketing is favoring so much the company itself and it's business interests, oblivious of the fact that it also needs to promote the interest of its network members as well. So forget everything you are made to believe about MLMs.

If you are seriously looking for the best online money making opportunity, I suggest that you try affiliate marketing instead. As an individual who’s already tried both the MLM and affiliate marketing worlds, I know that I am in the position to really tell which one is the far better option.

  • You don’t need to recruit to get ahead
  • A chance to earn bigger money
  • No complicated compensation plans
  • Commissions can get as high as 100%

  • No joining fees
  • Work at your own pace
  • Promote any product or brand you like to a global audience
  • A chance to promote products or brand you are passionate about
  • Make money while you sleep
  • A chance to earn passive and residual income
