10 Reasons Why You Should Own An Online Business?

A few years ago, I was the only one in my circle who ventured into online business. But today, half my friends are making money online. This only proves how popular the Internet has become and how more and more people have decided to quit their 9 to 5 job and work online instead.

Here are the main reasons why you should own an online business:

#1 You’re the boss

In my case, this was the only reason I made the big leap to think about of corporate life. I didn’t want to be watched like a hawk 8 hours a day or have someone calling me in the middle of my holiday for some urgent assignment I need to do. I’m not saying running an online business is less stressful than a regular job but at least I know I’m well compensated for all my hard work and it certainly beats having a nosy boss!

#2 You can follow your passion…and get paid for it

Starting your own business lets you do the things that you’ve always wanted to do. You want to travel the world and write about it? Be a writer or start a travel blog and monetize it. Do you want to paint? Create a website and sell your paintings online. Any ideas in your mind, you said it.

#3 You need minimal capital

How much does it cost to open a brick and mortar retail store these days? How about a restaurant or a mom and pop store? It will cost tens of thousands of dollars at least. But starting a business online doesn’t cost much and you can advertise to your target audience using social media. This is the power of internet nowadays. Perhaps the only things you’ll need to spend for at the beginning is a website, domain, hosting and a logo. That will cost you around $100, perhaps lower?

#4 You can work from home…or anywhere you want

I have a friend who runs a business online as he travels around the world. Right now, he is in Bali, Indonesia having the time of his life and still making money. How cool is that? As long as there’s an internet connection.

#5 You have more flexibility

You want to go to the gym in the morning and play soccer at the park with your son after his class? No problem. When you work online, you can choose your own schedule, or change it as needed. As long as you have the discipline to finish your tasks on time then it’s never going to be an issue.

#6 You’ll have less operating costs

With a brick and mortar business, you have to pay rent, employ a few people, pay for utilities, and many others. But when you run a business online, you don’t have to rent space or hire employees. You’ll make more profit due to your lower operating expenses.

#7 More people are shopping online

If you’re planning to set up an online store, then now is the best time to do it. That’s because people have more open to buying things online. There are now security measures in place to help keep online shoppers safe from hackers. In addition, with mobile browsing, people can shop for items or pay for services on the go using their mobile devices. Most people nowadays see online shopping as the convenient option. Don’t you agree? With single clicks less than few minutes the goods you bought will arrive your doorstep in a few days without stepping out from your home.

#8 Anyone can do it!

In the past, people needed to have business degrees to start managing their own businesses. They also needed a large capital. But nowadays, anyone can start a business online. Yes, ANYONE! If you have the drive and you’re willing to put in a lot of effort to this endeavor, then no one can stop you from doing it.

#9 You have lots of options

There are many kinds of businesses you can run online. For example, you can open an online store, or offer personal coaching if you have a special set of skill or knowledge that many people need today. You can also run a blog and have passive income through affiliate marketing or PPC.

Affiliate marketing is very big nowadays and some Internet marketers are earning thousands of dollars a month from affiliate offers. Check out Wealthy Affiliate, which is one of the most reputable networks with over a million products for you to choose from. Basically, you will be promoting their products on your website and for every sale that was referred by your site, you get a commission.

#10 Finally, you’ll be working for yourself

In offices, you have to jump through so many hoops to please your bosses and clients, and usually, that means agreeing to things that aren’t exactly what you believe in.

But when you run your own online business, you can forget all of that. You can work in your pajamas and no one would care.

Besides, working for yourself means that whatever amount of work you put into your business will pay off by putting more money in your bank account…not in someone else’s bank account.

As long as you discipline enough, you are able to create your own Online Business without a doubt.

Golden Rules for Running a Business Online

If you want to successfully run an online business, here are some vital tips to keep in mind:

  • Keep your website design professional and simple.
  • Be quick to respond to your visitors.
  • Always take the time to engage your visitors by replying to their comments or emails in a friendly way.

How to Promote Affiliate Products and Make Money?

Wouldn’t it be nice to earn a hundred dollars a day? If you can have this steady stream of income from your online ventures, then you can quit your day job and be your own boss. Well, what if I tell you it’s possible? With affiliate marketing, the sky’s the limit to how much you can earn from your website.

How It Works

If you want to learn how to promote affiliate products and make money, then you first need to familiarize yourself with Affiliate Marketing. This type of marketing is basically used by companies as a way to generate revenue. It’s a blogger’s marketing of a particular product (not their own) with a specific link containing a tracking code. So if you’re promoting Product A, for example, and then someone buys it because of your recommendation, by clicking the affiliate link, then you will be paid a commission on that sale.

Building a Website

Before anything else, you need to know that this is the very same method I used when I first started out. Right now, I’m using Wealthy Affiliate which is a really good network for anyone who’s serious about making money promoting affiliate products.

Step 1: You need to decide what kind of products you want to promote. A good way to start is by thinking about what interests you – your hobbies, passion, etc. Once you’ve figured that out, then it’s time to create a blog. Initially, you’ll have to spend around $50 to pay for your domain name and hosting, but that’s basically all you need for your initial investment.

Step 2: Do your research. You have to know more about the topic/niche that you’re going to enter into. What do people talk about under this niche? What products are popular? Once you’ve gotten a list of products and related information, you can start creating content.

Step 3: Creating content. A crucial requirement for creating content is keyword research. You have to know which keywords to rank for, which keywords your competitors are using (other bloggers) and which keywords are getting a lot of search volume. You’ll then need to incorporate these keywords into your articles.

Step 4: Building traffic. The amount of money you’ll make from affiliate marketing depends largely on how much traffic your website receives. Ideally, you should have at least a thousand visitors a day to make any decent income from affiliate marketing. But if you have just established your blog then this is going to take a while and you’ll need to use certain methods that can help boost your traffic.

One such method is Search Engine Optimization. Neil Patel has explained in detail how you can implement OFF PAGE SEO here. You should also ON PAGE SEO which is still important for ranking your pages. Take a look at Brian Dean’s newbie-friendly guide here.

So let’s assume you’ve implemented a few of these SEO strategies and now you’re getting a good amount of traffic to your website… What’s next?

Promoting Affiliate Products

There are many ways you can promote affiliate products on your website. In fact, you can even promote them without a website, but that’s something I’ll talk about in another post. For now, let’s focus more on website affiliate marketing strategies.

Product Reviews

Your first option is to write product reviews. The key here is to make your reviews as comprehensive as possible and do not be afraid to be honest. In fact, I would fully recommend that you make your review as objective as possible because, frankly, your readers can see through the lies.

You want to build trust, and you want to make them feel that you’re not just doing this for the commission – you actually want to help them. So list down all the good points and bad points of the product, and then write a recommendation. If it’s a great product, say it. If it’s not, then let them know why you think so.

You can write an eBook and offer your readers a great deal of information about your niche. It can be a how-to guide or an informational article about a particular topic, and within that ebook you can then highlight some affiliate products that you think is relevant or best suited to the topic.

If you’re interested to buy a new smartphone then you’ve probably been comparing two or three products like the Samsung S7 Edge and the iPhone 7. So why not make it easier for your readers by providing them a comparison article of your affiliate products? You have to be as in-depth as possible when comparing two products and just like with reviews, you also need to be objective.

Other Ways to Promote Affiliate Products

I can think of a dozen other ways to promote products but I will just focus on a couple of them. First, you can tap social media. This is a tricky one because people can easily get annoyed by marketing tactics implemented on Facebook and Instagram. So a rule of thumb to follow is to make your content fun 80% of the time and keep your promotional messages to just 20% of your posts.

Then, you can also do email marketing. It’s basically sending promotional emails to people in your mailing list. You can offer a freebie to entice people to subscribe to your list.  You can also send out a broadcast every month promoting a great product that you’re using. Tell them why you think it’s great. If they want to be part of your email list then they’ll be more receptive to your suggestions. Just make sure you don’t spam them with offers frequently.

Final Thoughts

If you want to try your luck with affiliate marketing but feel stuck and no idea where to learn? Then I highly recommend you Wealthy Affiliate– The best affiliate training out there.

You can use several ways to promote the products and make a commission for every sale. The key is to find a good affiliate network with a wide range of products, and then test various marketing strategies until you can find one that suits you. What Kind of Online Business Can I Start with Little Money?

These days, more and more people are thinking of earning from home by starting an online business. But what if you have little money to start with?

Well, I’m going to tell you now that YES you can start an online business with little money. I’ve done it, and many others have too.

Sure you might be limited to a very strict budget but you actually have many options. If you have the right combination of discipline, skills, work ethic and marketing abilities (which you can learn, BTW), then you have many opportunities in front of you.

Here’s a list of online businesses you can start today:

#1 Creating something

If you have a knack for arts and crafts you can make your own products and sell them on Etsy, such as jewelry and toys. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to buy raw materials either because many of these things are actually quite cheap and widely available.

#2 Re-selling

If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t want to create something, then why not re-sell other people’s products instead? Amazon is making millions of dollars a month by becoming the central location where manufacturers can sell their own products. Of course, I’m not saying you compete with Amazon, you can simply create your own e-store where you can sell products like clothes, jewelry, food, and supplements.

This can be done through various channels, including:

  • Drop shipping: Partner with drop-shipping companies who will handle all the order fulfillment for you.
  • Thrift stores: You can find lots of great items at thrift stores, flea markets, and antique shops and resell them on your website. Some garage sales also have hard to find items that you can get for cheap.

#3 Selling your services

On the Internet, a lot of people make a living by selling valuable services. People earn good money by being a personal development coach, writer, digital marketing specialist, web designer, virtual assistant, teacher, and many others. If you have little to no money to start a business, then selling your services is really one of the best ways you can earn online.

Some services will necessitate advanced degrees, while others necessitate just basic knowledge of how it’s done. If you want to choose this kind of business, then make sure you build your brand and reputation so that you’ll be able to grow your client base. You can also promote your services in websites like Elance and Craigslist.

#4 Blogging

In the past blogging was just a way for people to express their thoughts and opinions but today, many are raking in thousands of dollars every month from their blog. So in a way, you should treat it as a business.

There are several ways people can make money from their blog. They can sell advertising space, they can write reviews of certain products/services in exchange for a fee, they can use Adsense, or they can venture into affiliate marketing.

Is Blogging a Good Way to Make Money Online?

I’ve been asked many times if it’s really possible to make money by blogging. So I’m going to be really upfront with you on this – yes you can make money blogging BUT not everyone who has a blog makes money.

So before you go into this “business” you have to ask yourself:

#1 Are you willing to put in a lot of hours working on your blog? When I first started, I’d work on my blog 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s tough work and many people I know gave up eventually.

#2 Do you enjoy writing? These days, you don’t really have to be a good writer to be able to create good content. But you have to be passionate about your blog so you can continue writing day in and day out. Sure, you can hire someone from Fiverr to create articles for you for $5 a pop. But if you have little money to start with, this may not be an option.

Besides, finding a quality writer this cheap is very difficult to do. I doubt if you can find someone who’s willing to spend hours doing research at this rate.

So at the very beginning, you have written your own articles, at least a few times a week.

#3 Do you know how to drive traffic to your website? Granted, such skills can actually be learned. But if you don’t possess these skills right now, then it only means you have to be willing to know as much as you can about stuff like SEO, email marketing, and social media marketing. If you’re not willing to learn, then you may as well seek other business options.

Monetizing Your Blog

As mentioned earlier, there are several ways you can make money from your blog. But once you have lots of good content on your site and a steady stream of traffic, I really recommend you do Affiliate Marketing.

With affiliate marketing, the sky is the limit in terms of how much you can earn. You just need to know how to grow your audience, convert your readers into buyers, and find the right affiliate products to promote.

If you’re new to the idea of making money online, check out My #1 recommendation here. What I love about this platform is that it’s perfect for newbies. They can teach you highly effective methods for driving traffic to your website and they also have tens of thousands of products for you to choose from.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve decided that you have had enough of the corporate environment, then the Internet can provide you with numerous opportunities to start a business. And the best part is, many of these income-earning opportunities require little to no capital.

Starting out is not difficult but to be the success you need more that take action. It actually needs consistency and persistence as well as discipline. How to Make Money Online and from What?

You may have heard from others that the Internet is one of the best platforms to earn money. A lot of people have discovered multiple ways to boost their income with the help of the World Wide Web and you might be interested in giving it a try yourself. Besides, all you need are some free time, a computer, and an Internet connection—all of which are easily found in any modern home. But the question you probably have in your mind right now is—how to make money online and from what?

How to Make Money Online and from What?

The great thing about making money online is that anyone can do it. With so many ways to really earn on the Internet, everyone who is willing to work hard for it certainly has the chance to make it happen.

However, this doesn’t mean that you can trust each and every offer you see online. While there are lots of perfectly simple ways to make money through the Web, some of them are scams. You also have to be very careful in choosing which method to use, as not everything will give you the results you want. If the promise sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Just remember one thing: It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. It requires dedication and hard work.

Just like in real life, if you want to earn money, you also have to work for it. There are really simple ways to make money online, so if you don’t feel like stressing yourself out with additional work, then look for gigs that don’t require too much brain function from you. However, if you want to make a living online, you might have to persevere harder for good pay.

Getting started

To help you get started in making money online, here are my suggestions:

#1 Sell your skills

The Internet is filled with companies, organizations, and people that are looking for freelancers who can provide them with the services they require. So if you have certain skills, you can tap into it to make money online.

So what skills will let you enjoy a freelance career? Here are a few:

  • Writing
  • Web design and development
  • Graphic design
  • Photography
  • Social media and community management
  • 3D modeling and CAD
  • Sales, marketing, and public relations
  • Teaching and tutoring
  • Bookkeeping and accounting

You may have noticed that most of the items on the list are creative jobs, as you can easily do various creative tasks without supervision and while telecommuting. Others need some training or previous experience to qualify. If you can do one or more in this list, then you’re well on your way to finding a great paying online gig.

#2 Sell a wide range of products

Selling stuff online is another sure fire way to cash in on the Web. Even if you’re not tech savvy, as long as you know how to take product photos, upload them to the Internet, and you’re able to talk to customers online, you’re all set. With so many things that you can sell online and so many ways to sell through the Web, you definitely won’t run out of options to run a business through selling.

If you don’t know where to start, one of the first things that you should know is that you can practically start selling everywhere. There are lots of platforms that you can use to sell your products, but there are a few sites that are solely dedicated to specific products.

For example, if you’re planning to sell your used clothes and shoes, you can easily do that by posting on your social networking pages, Craigslist, or eBay. If you are good with arts and crafts, then Pinterest is a good place to start. You can also sign up with e-commerce websites that serve as marketplaces for selling similar products like Etsy and Not on the High Street. While there will surely be competition and fees for practically “consigning” your items with these sites, they can help you get noticed by a large audience, which can be hard to achieve on your own as a newbie.

The most important part in selling online is to know who your market is and to actually find ways to get in touch with them. As the Internet is very vast and wide, you need to exert a good amount of effort in marketing your wares. Luckily, doing that can be done for free so you shouldn’t worry too much about investing money in your venture.

#3 Monetize your Web activities

If you’re looking for an easy way to make money online, you can also trade your Web activities for a fee. This method is actually very simple and will not require you to do a lot of things aside from allowing them to monitor your online activities.

So, how does it work? One way is to sign up for a service that will pay you for your online searches. All you need to do is to sign up with the program and use a specific search engine, and use it every time you need to look something up. Very simple, right?

#4 Start a blog

Ever wondered why there are so many aspiring bloggers nowadays? Almost everyone and their cousins are already creating their own blogs and peppering the Web with a lot of original content. This is mainly because blogging is an excellent way to make money online. It’s considered as one of the best and most enjoyable techniques to earn from the Web as you get to do what you enjoy, share it with like-minded people, and make money from it in the end.

But how exactly can you monetize your blog? For one, you can offer ad spaces. With a good following, brands will want to plaster their ads on your blog and pay you for it. They might also want you to do a product review or an endorsement and you’ll be paid for it as well.

Another great way to make money from your blog is by joining affiliate marketing. Basically, you will choose from the affiliate network a list of products that you want to promote on your blog or website, and then you get paid a commission for every item sold. If this looks like your cup of tea, I wholly recommend you Read this today. I’ve used their platform for years now and they’re really reliable. Plus, you will also be guided step by step in building your online empire.

If you’re serious about making money online and you don’t know exactly from what, Wealthy Affiliate is a good place to start.

How to Start an Online Business with No Experience?

If you’re looking for a way to make decent money from home, start an online business. Making money online is very common nowadays and starting an online business is one of the best ways to do this. However, if you have no clue as to where to begin, here’s a guide on how to start an online business with no experience.

Starting an online business

There are several similarities between starting a brick-and-mortar business and a virtual business. First of all, whatever kind of business you want to set up, you need to take it seriously. If you’re half-hearted about your venture, forget it. It just won’t work. On the other hand, whether it’s a physical business or an online business, you have the potential to make a fortune from your business.

And there are also some key differences. On the Internet, you can run a business even without having a physical office. You can have a business even without any tangible products. Your operating costs are much lower, and you don’t even need to hire employees. With the right niche, a great concept, a strong brand, and lots of sweat, blood and tears, you can succeed online.

How to actually start an online business with no experience

If you haven’t tried setting up an online business before, don’t worry. It’s still highly possible for you to establish a solid business on the Internet and here are some steps to help you:

#1 Decide on what you want to sell and make sure that it’s good, necessary, and useful

When it comes to online businesses, you always have something to sell. Whether it’s an actual product, a service, some expert knowledge, or a brand, you’ll have to sell it online as that’s the best way to cash in on the web. Deciding on what you want to offer is the first step in having your own online business.

When it comes to choosing your product, you have to make sure that it fills a need. You’ll want to sell something that people actually need, so they’ll be willing to spend their hard-earned cash on it. Then, you need to make sure that your product is actually good and helpful. It may ideally be the answer to what they need, but if it doesn’t deliver what it promises to do and accomplish, then, all of your efforts will just be in vain.

I also suggest that you start a business that’s related to your interest and passion. This way, you will be excited in what you’re doing and in learning more about how to improve your business as you’re actually interested in what you’re doing. Your interest can fuel your drive and help your business become a success.

#2 Do a lot of market research

Like any traditional business, you’ll need to do a lot of research when it comes to starting your own online business. This way, you’ll actually have an idea of what to do and where to start. While it’s perfectly fine to learn as you go, knowing how to build your business from the ground up is necessary.

Among the most important things that you need to learn before launching your business are product development, branding, and the market’s demands. These three things will help you determine if what you have in mind will actually take off and be profitable. It will also help you address issues before they arise, letting you lay down a solid foundation for your venture.

#3 Build your online presence

Every business needs a home base where customers can find them, and in your case, you need one online. You have lots of options where you want your business to be found online. You can set up your own website with your business’ name in the URL. You can also opt to sign up in one of the many free e-commerce websites that can help you reach more customers easily. Some also sell solely on social media. I suggest you do everything so you can have a better online presence and that you’ll be more easily found and contacted by potential clients or customers.

The best online businesses to try

Now that you know the basics in starting your own online business, you might still be at a loss at what kind of business to actually launch online. If you’re still clueless with how to start your online business despite the tips mentioned above, here are a few more suggestions.

1. Offer services

If you have a skill or talent that other people may need, you can always use that to start your online business. If you can code, you can easily offer web development services. Artists who are familiar with digital techniques can offer their services as well and freelance as graphic designers. Those who write can start up their own copywriting business and accept orders for web content and other writing-related tasks online.

2. Sell products

Those with a knack for talking and selling to people can easily take their sales skills online and profit from it. With so many good things that you can sell, combined with good branding, a solid online presence, and great customer service, your venture will surely be a hit.

3. Share expertise

As mentioned earlier, a good business is based on what you know well. So, if you’re somewhat of an expert on a particular subject, you might be able to make money out of it. So basically your product is your knowledge or expertise.

And here’s the best part—you can grow your business as much as you like. Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective ways you can do this and by signing up with companies that offer a proven system, such as my #1 recommendation, you can make money through your online business, even with no experience at all. Their experts will guide you step by step and show you methods that work so you can grow your business and make a fortune online.

How To Make Genuine Money from the Internet?

I’ve been doing Internet marketing for years and I have to say, it’s a wonderful way to earn a living. I get to do the things I love to do, traveling few countries within a year and still have enough money in the bank. But if you’re new to this, you might be wondering how to make genuine money from the Internet.

To be honest, there are so many ways and means from which you can choose, but not all of them work. Some are outright scams. Some are just wasting your hard earned money and some are just wasting your time. As we always know time is more valuable than money. right?

But, I’ve been in your shoes before and I know how confusing and difficult it can be for newbies when they’re still getting started. So let me help you navigate the World Wide Web and guide you to the best opportunities to make money online.how-to-make-genuine-money-from-the-internet

Top choices for making money online

Here are the best options that I have personally tried myself:

#1 Freelancing

Freelancing is probably the most popular way to really make money online nowadays. It is primarily done by creative minds especially since they can do their work anywhere. If you can write, code, or make digital art, you can find freelance work. Finding clients may be a bit of a challenge, but there are websites that can help you do just that.

The only danger from freelancing is that if you are not careful, some people will rip you off. This is why, if you want to work directly with clients, you should take measures to protect yourself and your hard work. Choose your clients carefully and draft a contract.

If you’re a beginner, I recommend that you learn the ropes first with the help of sites that help match clients with freelancers. This way, you can get the hang of freelancing before you dive into making business transactions on your own.

#2 Selling

Another great way to really make money online is to sell items. There are so many products that you can sell ranging from pre-owned stuff, food to handmade products. The quality, demand, and how you brand each item will affect its pricing, so make sure to learn more about your market first before you dive into having your own online business.

Read this on how to build your website successfully. Its has been proven and easy to follow.

You should also make sure to learn the basics of using postal services to ship out your goods. This is very important as shipping also costs money and will definitely consume some time. Get to know the local postage situation in your area so you won’t have to worry about sending a package on your first transaction.

#3 Telecommuting

Telecommuting is a lot like freelancing except you’ll still be technically employed. For you to make money with this method, you have to look for a company that needs your services and are willing to let you work at home. There are so many jobs that you don’t have to go to the office for, including the following:

  • Social media manager
  • Virtual assistant
  • Customer service rep
  • Tutor
  • Transcribing
  • Bookkeeping
  • Translating
  • Research

As long as you have a stable Internet connection, a computer, a few specific accessories, and maybe some experience, you’re good to go.

I actually prefer this method for beginners as it promises a steady flow of income as you’ll be employed and not working on just projects. However, a lot of them require you to work on a specific schedule, so it might not be ideal for those who want to be flexible with their time.

#4 Do small tasks for other people

This method is also a lot like telecommuting, but you don’t really need a specific set of skills to qualify. As long as you have a basic knowledge of the Internet and you can follow instructions, you can earn money. Some examples of the tasks you can do are the following:

  • Data entry
  • Answer surveys
  • Click on links
  • Visit certain websites
  • Post comments

These are very easy ways to make genuine money from the Internet, but they also pay low rates. If you have a lot of free time and like doing some very menial tasks, though, this method can be perfect for you.

#5 Become a tester

While testing stuff isn’t always an online job, you’ll still need the Internet to find open positions for gigs of this sort, so I’m including it on the list. Basically, this method of earning money through the web requires you to provide quality feedback for whatever you’re asked to test. You might be asked to test websites, games, apps, or other products and you need to be very thorough in testing them.

For this method, you earn by providing much-needed user feedback to manufacturers and creators. You’re basically performing some quality control for their outputs, so they’re willing to pay for your opinion. However, this gig isn’t exactly a permanent one as you’ll need to qualify for each product that you’ll be testing first.

I would say this is the method that required your time the most. And your hard work doesn’t pay it forward. Simply said it works but very time-consuming.

You can monetize your blog by offering ad spaces, doing reviews, or collaborating with brands. You can also try affiliate marketing and promote select products relevant to your niche, and in turn, you will profit from each sale.

I’ve used several affiliate marketing platforms in the past. Some were really good, while others didn’t help me make money at all.
